ISTD brief: Food for though- 2012
The brief was to have a new take on the term revolving around the topic of food, which is one of my favourite things. So I decided to take this project personal, as I used a situation that recently occurred in my life.
I had just come off my bicycle while travelling to university, and had taken a large shard of bone from my collar. I carefully designed my story about this accident and how it affected my life and my studies, but mainly focusing on what got me ‘on the road to recovery’: food.
This document consisted off various paper stocks, illustrations, photographs and recipes of the nutritious meals I cooked during my injury. I also made a material sling that the booklet sits within and a bespoke office-like folder, to represent the doctors notes at the hospital.
