Rare and 'sort after' Thonet A643 Frères Bistro chair by Josef Hoffmann c,1922. Germany.
Art Deco high backed chairs. Beech with embossed crocodile plywood seat.

Design/ origin-
A wonderful collision of one of the World's most famous chair manufacturers and an incredible designer, Thonet & Hoffmann.
There are two labels visible which helps date the chair to around c,1922.

These chairs have an incredible feature, embossed crocodile skin pattern into the plywood seat. This was a style used by a number of Thonet's chairs of the time.      

Condition-
Overall condition is consistent with age. Chairs have had a sympathetic restoration. Original stained Beech has been oil cleaned and show a great level of genuine age. 
There are the usual wear and tear as expected, however as you can see this item presents very well. 
There is an old repair to the front lower rail section. One chair has a small dent on the seat. Both chairs are solid and should last another 100 years.
