Although this setting would appear to be early Art Deco (1920s/30s Europe) lounge settings such as these in Australia were being produced up in til the 1950s.
The most notable feature of this setting would be the double tubular looped frame constructing the base, with chrome capped ends. Which makes for a very strong and durable design.
The cushions are in a contrasting red velveteen, with the same colour being use in the pipping. Cushions are constructed with an internal spring unit, which never loose it's shape.
Condition- The overall condition is excellent for the age. All defects have been photographed, please refer to the multi image. There are a few minor scratches to vinyl and some discolouration can be found. The entire setting has been vigorously cleaned recently.
Chrome has been polished recently. There is some corrosion blemished as expected, but no peeling.
Cushion fabric on the underside is worn and discoloured, with no holes. The top side fabric is very presentable as pictured.
Central covered fabric buttons have wear also. All upholstery studs remain. New bottom cloth has been added.
