Pair of Mid Century wall sconces. Large unique size, in polished aluminium. 
America c,1940-1950s. 
Designer unknown. 

Stamped with the 'Union Made' logo. Also with 'Underwriters Laboratories Inc' as many commercial fixtures were. 

Dimensions-
300 l x 300 w x 140 d mm total size
250 x 140 mm shade
130 x 40 mm wall plinth

Design/ origin-
Unusually large sized wall sconces, bell shaped and reminiscent of that of an Airstream Caravan (blimp/ Deco). Made of aluminium. 
These have a sense of large industry about them and could have possibly been used in a commercial/ industrial setting. 
Directional spot lights, with rotating joining bracket. Makes it easy to position light where needed.  

Condition-
Overall condition is consistent with age, some marks/ scratches and minor dents can be found. 
Polished raw aluminium finish. Some corrosion to wall plinths, as pictured. 
One joining bracket has had a repair.
