Design/ origin-
A unique and rare of medium sized bentwood upright armchair, with bowed arms capped with solid Beech.
Wide seat and back rest, make for an attractive, comfortable & angular chair design.
Embossed, Thonet stamp on the base.
Bauhaus modernism meets French elegance.
Condition-
Overall condition for age is very good. Rattan is in good strong order, however rattan is slightly misshapen on the back-rest, not very noticeable.
Chair has a few imperfections, as pictured. Scuffs & marks throughout, tiny section of rattan missing on the seat.
Chair frame holds strong and has lovely patina in areas, oil cleaned recently.
