Dimensions-

960 h x 570 w x 640 d mm

485 seat h mm

Sympathetically restored, keeping and enhancing all it's age and beautiful imperfections. Original complete cane/ rattan seat. Strong Beech frame. Rare, unusual large version armchair, with high scroll back rest and humanistic thin armrests.

Light weight and strong. As pictured, hanging from a pole.

Design/ origin-

Thanks to the label remaining on this piece, we can accurately identify this chair's origins and provenance. Stamped "MOBEL-FABRIKEN / von / JOSEF JAWOREK / Teschen, osterr, Schlesien". An Austrian who was making furniture in East Sinensia for about 7 years between 1907 to 1914. Making this particular piece a limited number.

The design originating from Michael Thonet c,1842.

Condition-

Overall condition is consistent with age. All defects have been photographed. Please refer to multi image. Recently restored, oil cleaned and the wood shows some beautiful characteristics. One of the legs has a slight chuck missing at the bottom, this is very old damage. Rattan seat has a few very minor sections missing near the edges. However the seat holds strong and useable, but please bear in mind she's an old girl. A slight wobble to the chair, as expected with all Bentwoods, light weight and durable. Item has been priced accordingly.
