Wicker Chair (Maria Chair)
When these chairs came to me, they were rotten and worthless, exactly my kind of thing!
Nic-named after my friend (Maria) who gave me the chairs, it was my task to restore and breath new life into these pieces of discarded furniture. They were 'haggard'.
Adding new value to something is my practise, to work with the materials which have been deemed useless, well just watch as I restore these two
un-beautiful chairs into something which is beautiful.
I recreated the seat base for one of them, in the same way it would have been made in it's factory. And the other, traditionally upholstered with natural fibres and sprung.
