A Pair of impressive & rare 123 system lounge armchairs by Verner Panton, for Fritz Hansen, Denmark c,1975. With original labels. Restored in local Australian Eco pure wool. Contoured S-shaped armchair, iconic space-aged design by one of the World's most notable furniture designers; Verner Panton. A beautiful interaction of soft upholstery & chromed steel. Makes for a desirable & collectable piece of Mid century modern design.
These were in the IBM Bank of Melbourne in the 1970s. Stamp remains on the base.
Polished chromed throughout, however one chair has some defect spots, as pictured.
