Mid Century desk lamp model KL2851 by Charlotte Perriand (France) for Philips, Holland, Netherlands c,1960.
Stunning rare design, in original condition. Re-wired and fully functional.
Dimensions- 330 total h mm 240 x 155 mm shade 160 x 175 x 50 mm base
Design/ origin- Large shaded desk lamp, originally a UV heat lamp which has recently been converted. This is a stunning design with a great choice of period colours; grey/blue with a flat white.
Designed by Charlotte Perriand, a very well known and respected name within the design World. With a collaboration of work with the likes of Le Corbusier & Pierre Jeanneret.
Lamp has it's original timer switch that functions and has a great sounding bell when it reaches zero. Large attractive ball joint allows the shade to be positioned for direction of light.
Condition- Overall condition is consistent with age. All defects have been photographed. Base as you can see has corrosion and discolouration, however this only adds to it's genuine age and charm. Lamp shade has light corrosion to the aluminium, some dents maybe visible.
Lamp has been totally re-wired, converted to work with a normal light bulb and a switch added in the cable.
